Key features of the “ELAGA” software which manages training
All training provided by the PLS GROUP is managed using the ELAGA software which is owned by PLS. The software is web-oriented and is hosted on a dedicated server located in Italy. It manages distance learning (e-learning), generating credentials, allowing event login, evaluating trainees and issuing certificates automatically and immediately; and in-person classroom training with a record of all the classroom sessions held (run by our specialist teams), issuing the relative certificates.
The ELAGA software is based on the development of a tailored Company Training Plan, which highlights the courses provided to each worker (using their tax identification code) on the basis of their training needs according to applicable legislation, their duties, role and any other relevant aspects. For each user, the PLS team defines and activates the training required on the basis of the individual’s job description and role in the company. The Company Training Plan is a tool which also allows the validity of certification and refresher course requirements to be handled systematically.
Each individual user’s training record can be viewed using Elaga, both for courses run directly by PLS and those taken with other providers; in the case of previous training not delivered by PLS, it is still possible to track the expiry dates and mandatory renewal requirements and, if requested, store all the users’ certificates so that they can be retrieved as needed from the platform.
The trainees also have a tutor, as envisaged in the Italian State-Regions Agreement, who is available to provide clarification and a remote assistance service to solve any technical problems.
Personalised training courses
On the one hand there is compulsory training, established within the regulations that govern the day to day running of any company; on the other hand, there is a different kind of professional development. It is here that the company nurtures its assets: its guiding values, which go beyond any legal requirements.
Growth in terms of the development of skills is most effective when it is both practical and engaging; training is most effective when it is firmly rooted in the specific context of the company.
At PLS we create personalised training projects based on what is most precious to our client company: our courses can be adapted to the company’s schedule and sites, the content can be tailored to its specific requests, reflecting brand values as well as ensuring coherence with the training programmes developed by the HR department.
